New Stuff: Tweet Your Tokbox Video Conference, originally uploaded by TokBox.
While customers have been able to tweet a conference call url out to their Twitter followers for some time now, we just wanted to make sure it was working properly before we formally announced it to the world.
A couple of quick notes on video conferences and tweeting the url:
1. While the conference feature can support a larger number of people, we generally recommend having 20-25 in a group video chat to minimize the concerns over various performance issues.
2. Only the person initiating the conference call is required to have a Tokbox account.
3. Anyone knowing the conference url can join in.
4. Tokbox works best with a recent version of Flash. If you don’t have the most recent version of Flash installed on your computer, you can get it here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
5. If you’re having issues detecting your webcam and mic, or if your participants are having issues detecting their cam and mic, please use the ‘Settings’ option you will see in the window to detect your cam and mic.
Thanks for using Tokbox! Happy tweeting!
Update: Please see recent improvements to Video Conferencing and Video Mail.
